I was on glucophage on and off for a year (mostly off)...I couldn't stand the side effects. I've bene taking chromium for a little over a month now and when I got my insulin tests back my level went from 26 to 21....so it seems to be working.

I think I only paid $7 at GNC for mine, but I think they tend to be over priced. SOme of teh cysters have mentioned getting it at Wal-Mart for cheaper but I've never looked.

Good luck!

I've gotten my gtf chromium from vitaminshoppe.com online. The one I use is Source Naturals - each capsule is 200mcg and you get 120 in a bottle for $5.81. Of course you have to pay shipping, but I normally buy other stuff from them too. They have a flat rate of shipping - I think it's now $4.95, so if you buy quite a bit, it more than offsets the sales tax you would have to pay. Plus you don't have to fight the Wal Mart crowds!

You could also take them both, if you want, I think the effects will compound.

Good luck!

Default isnt that risky

i thought that taking both would cause low blood sugar...although i have heard that a few people take them togther. also, if im taking glucophage why would i take the chromium as well? do they work the same way?
