Cholest. is frequently elevated in PCOS women...but Met should be *decreasing* the IR and weight issues that contribute to elevated labs.
If you are struggling with your diet (Although *Some* cheating is neccessary..if your diet's too strict, who can stay on it?) that would most definetly be a factor. Are you exercising at all? Exercise really helps the met work (Along with diet) by lowering insulin and other hormones faster. If you give it all the help you can, you'll see those numbers slowly come down soon.
Also, how long have you been on Met? Met takes many months to get really rolling in your system, and if your switch to Met is fairly recent (3-6 months or so) you may need more time. My Dr told me that chemical levels are not instantly fixed....they take time on the drug to respond.
