The dr. will have the results tomorrow, but I won't get them until my appointment next week. I hate waiting! I'm probably the most impatient person you'll ever meet. I was wondering if how you feel during the test can be any indicator of the results? Obviously when I got there I hadn't had anything to eat for 10-12 hours, so my blood sugar was really low. I was weak and very tired. Shortly after drinking the special drink (like 5 minutes later), I was really jittery and got a headache. Then, half an hour after the drink, I was dead tired. I spent the next hour and a half that I as stuck at the hospital sitting in the waiting room with my head on my husband's shoulder. I could barely keep my eyes open. Is this how most people feel during the test? Is this any indicator of what my results will be? I know I won't know for sure until my appointment, but I'm just really curious. Christine |

Like you, I was weak, ill, tired, and almost felt nauseas after drinking that damn orange drink. *I cannot drink orange soda to this day because of it* They poked and prodded because I have rolling veins and they ended up having to get the last few tubes of blood out of my hands because my arms were shot. I was absolutely miserable. Hope everything turns out ok!

When I chugged the nasty "cola" flavored drink, I had to do breathing exercises out of my nose because my body was trying to throw it up. I got all jittery and shaky feeling for awhile, and then the "burnt" out feeling in the end. When I got the results back, they showed the initial spike, and then showed me plummeting all the way down to 62 at the end!

My sugars were high and I was trying to wake myself up...

Turns out I just found out today that I have GD. I was told 2 out of 4 results were high. Have you gotten your results back yet?
