Glumetza or Met ER & Baby Aspirin??

HI. Is it ok to take Met ER and Baby Aspirin? I take Glumetza and was taking 1 baby aspirin each day because I heard it was a good idea to prevent blood clots, etc. Anyone else do this? Some info I read says not to take the two together. Why??
