Default glycolic acid peels

Has anyone tried glycolic acid chemical peels?
Did they help your skin problems to clear up ?
did you use an at home kit or had it done at a professional's office?
What brand would you recommend?

i booked a series of 8 peels over two months and had to quit halfway through due to inflamation from the acid . the first peel left me with -glowing- skin, and the second had lifted a lot of the nasty congestion from my forehead but after that it was red city. don't get them done at a salon unless you're positive your skin isn't at all sensitive. the dermo i went to see afterwards says she wouldn't have recommended them for someone with my colouring and sensitivity issues at all.

not sure about at home stuff but given the training of most beauty therapists you're probably better off doing at home peels. i'd see a dermo first though and ask their opininion of your skin.

i do at home peels, i get them from this site: http://www.beautifulskinfo.com/index...ails&prodid=29

my mom is a dermatology nurse and she looked over everything and told me it was fine for me and to not waste my money going to a dermatologist for them. then she went to work and told all the other nurses about these

I get them done every 6 weeks or so I alternate between a gylcolic, microdermabrasion or a silk peel. I get it done at my derms office. There is no way i would do it at home. But if you feel comfortable applying it to your face thats a personal call

tHANKS. I bought the neostrata SRS as i was told they are pretty safe safer than the skinculture. Its 30% Citric acid
3% Kojic acid
2% Arbutin
How does the 30% work, are you going to have skin falling off as with the 70% or is it just a light flaking as if your skin is excessively dry???

that is the benefit of glycolic acid peels compared to other peels, no flaking.
