I feel fired up about God. There is a great woman on this board (Michal, thanks!) who really cared about me and sent me christian books to read. I've done some major soul-searching and I dedicated the last month to praying and making myself a better christian. I feel so happy about this and I just wanted to share!!
well i was all pumped for the Bible study and I got there late. Class got out at noon and I had a test so I stayed later. I got to the room where it was being held and the door was closed and people were praying. I didn't just want to walk in so I am going to wait awhile.
BUT
I did convince my boyfriend to go to church with me on Sundays. that's a step in the right direction!
I hate to hear that about the Bible study. But praise God for your boyfriend wanting to go to church! Try to get yourself connected with a small group of people. It is so important to be connected in a small group of people for learning, love, and support!

haha.. it's late.. i read that you were fed up with God not fired up, lol no wonder i was confused as to why you were excited about it.. and i couldnt figure out how being fed up with God made you a better Christian either..
and then i re-read it.. and it says fired up.. lol... sleeeeeep must go to sleeeeep
anyway, congrats about being FIRED up... glad you're not fed up.. goodluck
so i went to the Bible study today and it was great. the leader was so happy and full of faith. he did a testimony and told us how he ended up being a campus minister. the people were really friendly and welcoming and weren't too preachy at me. i really liked it and i will definitely be back next week. the only thing is I feel like kind of a fraud there. I don't have nearly as much faith as these people so I don't know if I should reach out to them or just sorta fake it. Advice?
Congrats on going to church with your boyfriend and going to the bible study! That is awesome!
There is no need to feel like a fraud I am sure...I am sure the people there would want you to reach out to them...you cannot fake it for long before it becomes exhausting and you stop going!

I am so glad you liked the study. I think all Chrisitains go through the "faking' stage. Just remember they were once where you are, beleiveing but not full of faith. It takes a while to build up spiritual muscles and that is what other people are for.
