Hello to all who read this!!!! I was diagnosed almost a year ago and after taking byetta for two months, i gave up. I finally have an appointment with an endrocinologist and I was just wondering what I can expect. I am really nervous!!!! Any input would be great, THANKS!!

Hopefully you will have a positive experience with a doctor who knows about PCOS and how to treat it. Don't think for a second that you have to stick with a doctor if they don't know what they are talking about. I went through 6 doctors before I found my currect doc, who I adore.
Hopefully they will do bloodwork...mine did and found that I was in need of Metformin for IR. My levels are now normal.
GL! There is a TON of great advice on this site, and lots of special people who can help!

I know its nerve racking to be going to the endo for the first time. My first appointment was a lot of questions on both sides. I gave my medical history (I had a list of my cycles for the last year or so & a copy of medical records from the OB/GYN who diagnosed me) and then he wanted to know about my parents and grandparents. My whole appointment lasted over a hour. He didn't do an exam or anything like that mostly just looked at blood work. I would guess if you haven't had blood work done recently, he will order some.
I also had a list of questions from me and from my husband. I felt better getting answers to everything and I get so nerveous that I forget so I have to write them down.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
