going on and off BCPs--bad for me? I really have a love-hate relationship with my BCPs. On one hand, when I'm *not* on the pill, my hair falls out, which is a real drag, and my cycles disappear, which makes me anxious. On the other hand, when I'm on the pill I seem completely unable to lose any weight. The last time I went off, I was at least able to lose about 20 pounds, which is an absolute record for me (not counting the glorious Phen-Fen years). The first few months off the pill I did have normal cycles.
What I was considering was cycling on and off the pill, like one month on and then one month off. Is that just a stupid idea, or could it protect me from the hair loss while allowing me to perhaps be more successful in my weight loss efforts? Anyone ever try this?
