If you used to take Dex, when your Dr took you off of it, how did he taper off your doses? I'm currently taking .5mg once a day. My Dr is going to try to take me off of it now and I'm going to taper it off. He told me to start taking it every other day for a week, then take it Monday, Wed, Friday, and then Tuesday and Thursday. Does that make any sense? How did your dr taper you off of it??

He is taking me off Dex due to the increase in bruising I'm having. Dex can cause bruising and a decrease in your platelet count sometimes. I am a person who NEVER bruises and since being on Dex I've bruised on my legs a lot. It started as one or two every few weeks but now it's one or more every week. I had 7 new bruises on my legs last week and no clue how I got them.
