I've been taking Gonal-F shots for the past 28 days, and I can't seem to get follicular development.
I started with a low dose 37.5 uL subcutaneously (thigh) for about a week, then was increased to 75 uL subcutaneously (thigh), then moved to 112.5 uL intramuscularly (hip). There are several follicles in each ovary, but they are all around 9 mm. The last time they thought I had one at 12x14 mm, but today (2 days later) it looks like it has shrunken. Is this possible, and have you heard of anyone NOT responding to Gonal-F?!?
Help! The nurse said I'm going to have a very expensive meds cycle. I've calculated it to be about $3000 already!!
Ive done gonal f, I gave the shots on my stomach. I did not get pregnant on it either. It did start my cycle, and did hyperstimulate me (hospital trip). I think I did 5 cycles. Also got another shot in Dr.s office a few days later(unsure name) and prometrium (each cycle)
i have heard of injections not working..my first injection cycle didnt work..maybe in your case they just need to start on a higher dose sooner...maybe start at 150...from what i have heard it usually does work its just a matter of finding the right med dose combo..good luck

It's been a while since you posted your original question, but did your doc check your prolactin levels? I had some cycles that I had to do 21+ days of injections to get a response. Since I have been on the parlodel to lower my prolactin levels I respond sooo much better. Just an idea.
