 Gonal-F questions
I'm on 187.5IU of Gonal-F (2.5 ampules, done the old fashioned way, without the pen). I made a wee mistake in my calculations and now I am short half an ampule for my dose Saturday night. There is no way for me to get a prescription in time. My question is this: How awful will it be if I take only 150IU Saturday night? I'll be back at the clinic Sunday morning, less than 12 hours after the injection. If they want me to make the missed dose up is that too late? Will one day of a slightly lower dose throw off all the progress I've made (As of yesterday morning I had four medium-sized follicles, for the first time ever!)?
Alternatively, I know once you mix the solvent with the powder you're supposed to use the medication right away, but would it be possible to save it in a sterile syringe overnight, even after the powder is reconstituted? I ask because now half a vial of medication goes to waste since I only use two and a half. Can I save the extra half from tonight's dose and use that tomorrow?
I know these are answers I should get from my doctor but I only ask here because there is no way for me to reach my own or any other doctor right now and I am really at a loss as to what to do. At least I learned my lesson and will make sure to always have extra medication to spare from now on!
