Default Good BC to help slow facial hair growth?

Is there a good BC pill that will aid in slowing down facial hair growth? That (and of course weight gain) are my biggest problems with PCOS right now. I mean, I don't think it's normal to have to pluck 30 chin/neck hairs every single morning and some throughout the day. It's just getting out of hand. I also have a bit of hair loss on my head since I stopped BC.

I was on the generic for Yasmin a few months ago and stopped taking it because of shooting pains in chest and night sweats. Is there something else out there that may help slow down this hair growth?

Thank you!

Yasmin drove me crazy too!! I used to pluck around 30 chin hairs every day. Plucking chin hair can be normal for some people with PCOS. That was my main symptom outside of infertility. I noticed the hair growth slow down after starting Spironolactone. It takes a while for it to get into your system and start changing how your body functions, but it does work. I also take a bcp called Norinyl. Last year I ended up starting laser hair removal for my chin area. Now I wake up to completely smooth skin and I've never had to pluck since.

Hope that helps

Never saw results with BCP.. in fact I think it made things worse.. Have you tried an anti-androgen? or a natural alternative?

Diane-35 is meant to help with hair growth, but some people have reported that it didnt help, others have said that once they stopped the hair grew back with avengence. I asked my endocinologist about this, and she agreed that it doesent help everyone, but said that the hair growing back worse than before is not true/myth. She also said that even though it doubles your risk for breast cancer, its still a small risk.
