I live in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area of Texas. I am looking for a doctor to treat me. I've recently changed jobs and don't know where to start. I belive that I have been diagnosed with PCOS since the early 2000's. Any help will greatly be appreciated.
I had a bad experience with Dr. Douglas (Preby Plano), too. I currently see Dr. Karen Lee at Presby Dallas. She does almost all the u/s scans herself, is a Harvard grad, and is wonderfully supportive.
Dr. Lee has no doubt that I can get pregnant, which is why I stopped seeing Dr. D! When I first went to see her, she wanted to "cross all the T's," and found that I'm hypothyroid, while Dr. D only ever tested my E2 levels, so I feel like he wasted 4 cycles and $2k by seeing him last year!

Would Dr. Lee be good even though you may not necessarily be trying to get pregnant? Does she have a philosophy either you need to be on the pill or Clomid?
Since the clinic is called "Dallas Fertility Center," my best guess is that Dr. Lee only deals with TTC issues. I've only been seeing her since I dumped my first RE while TTC, so I came to her with a history, and we planned out my treatment based on that.
I do love that Dr. Lee is VERY open to different treatments. Someone on this board suggested Tamoxifen for my thin lining, and Dr. Lee said, "we'll try it" when I brought it up. She is trying to balance my problem uterine lining with ovulation induction, without pushing me to IVF.
I think if you are not TTC, a regular endo might be a better choice. I go to Endocrine Associates of Dallas for my hypothyroid. I bet one of the Drs there is PCOS-friendly.
