Hey, ya'll. I am 99.9% sure I have PCOS. I am in my last semester in college in Chicago, and I am from Indianapolis. So I could go to a doctor in either place. The main thing is, I really only want to see a woman. Most of the doctors are men. Help!!!

I live in KY and theres no one for me, but as I was looking I see several offical PCOSA members in both Indi and Chi...some of them are women..good luck! I just went to a totally clueless dr--again--same one in Louisville today, grrrrr I had all these blood tests done and he didn't give me any meds and didn't know naything at all about PCOS..those drs will know bunches | |

Hi there! I saw an amazing doctor in Indy. Her name is Dawn M. Ayers at Midwest Reproductive Medicine. She was more knowledgable in PCOS than anyone I had ever encountered. They have various offices in Indiana and one in Illinois. Their website is www.fertilityMRM.com. I know they deal with more than just fertility/infertility. Hope this helps. Beth | |

I, too, am 99% sure i have PCOS.... and i am going for an appointment with Dr Laura Rueter on March 24th. She is with Midwest Reproductive Medicine.

I think there is a whole pcos clinic at the university of chicago. I am not 100% sure, but I think there is. http://centerforpcos.bsd.uchicago.edu/
I've never been there (the clinic), btu I am most likely moving there (chicago) from Madison next year. | |

thanks, everyone. I got an appointment with a female doctor outta northwestern. i go on tuesday, and im freaked out. hopefully, it will go ok.
