Good Housekeeping "Advice" I don't have the magazine with me right now, but what I saw under one of the advice columns made me want to spit!
A reader wrote in that her father, who is up in years, has taken to saying whatever is on his mind. He told a family member that he hoped she would "take care of that mustache" before her wedding. The reader mentioned other instances of dad's inability to exercise couth. The column's "advisor" said that as an older person that dad had the right to say whatever he wanted, but that the family should try to get him to use a little tact in certain circumstances. She then said that "besides the bride shouldn't have a mustache on her wedding day anyway."
WTF?? I thought that was completely inappropriate and uncalled for!! I am not a cyster who has this problem, but in deference to those who do, I think it's completely offensive to say something like that!!
I just thought I'd pass this along to any cysters who wanted to give this woman I piece of their mind.
(I did look for the article on the net and couldn't find it. Maybe another cyster can help out with that. If not, I'll follow up and post it later.)
Blessings.
