It's funny because about a year or so after having my son I started getting my period more. I was 37 or so. Now when I was about 40 I started having pretty regular. Now I am 41 going on 42 (eek) and I am like clock work. I have AF almost every 28-33 days. We try to avoid BD when I am ovulating.
We're happy with our son and don't want another one.
If it happened by accident of course we'd welcome another one.
But at 42yrs old we're very happy with our 5.5 yr old. I am tired keeping up with him. Can't imagine adding newborn to the mix.
But it is very good news for older gals who are still TTC! To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I am new hear and it nice to read a great article like that. I was diagnosed with PCOS after TTC for over 2 years. I have one DD that was a miracle and came only 8 months after TTC. Perhaps this explains why my hormones seem to be getting better this last few years.
It's nice to know my chances are higher as I get older but I want kids now so I don't get too settled into a career after college and end up not having any ><
great news!!! I to am 4o years of age - any tried ovarian drilling!! Any success stories out there?? Thanks To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
This is great news! I'm struggling today after my little "friend" showed up again yesterday. It's wonderful to get some news that will help me find a little patience.
Well I already posted on this thread, but I just found out we are pg two days ago, and it was a bit of a surprise as we weren't trying very hard (BD'd 5 days before O), wasn't consistently taking my Met, and am still bf twice a day. It is crazy, because I remember ttc-ing for #2, and trying to do everything right, and it still took 22 months. This time I had one annovulatory cycle and one ovulatory cycle after having my last dd, and I got pg. I really think there is something to the age thing!

My mom also has PCOS and she had to get on fertility drugs to get pregnant for my sister and I and it took her a while. She was 24 and 27 when she had me and my sister. When she turned 37 she messed up taking her pills one month, but did not think anything of it since she had always had so much trouble getting pregnant. Well, needless to say she got pregnant. It was a total shock to us all, but a very welcome surprise. Well, 2 years later, same thing! Now we not only got a brother expectantly but now were going to have another sister! So, she is living proof! :-)
