good RE or dr. around Charleston, WV????

i have a friend that lives in this vacinity, and she is having lots of issues with her current dr. all he will tell her is to lose weight, lose weight, lose weight, and her and her dh have been ttc for awhile now. anyone know a weight friendly dr. in this city?? i referred her to come on over to soulcysters, but thought i'd get a jump on this, so she can get help asap!!!

Jess- I really don't know of any great dr's in the area. I live right outside of Huntington (about 45 minutes away) and I have been looking for a new dr. myself. Right now I see Dr. Burns at the Marshall University OB/GYN. He has not ever mentioned my weight and if that is her biggest issue with a dr. it may be worth her trip to see him. (I weigh about 200lbs and 5'7" tall) However, I'm not thrilled with him in general after seeing how wonderful alot of the dr's are to our cysters. Dr burns doesn't recomend ever using progesterone unless you are doing an IVF. And he's never mentioned doing and HSG on me and I have seen him for a while. And he has never had me come in to have a monitored cycle. But he will work with her and help her get pg as best he can. If she just wants someone to give her meds and look over her chart and help in that way she may want to give him a call. PM me if you need the number or have any more questions. In the mean time I'm looking for that great DR and when I find him I'll let you know. And if she happens to find one please let me know. I don't mind driving a bit.
