I am not on met. but have come to this site since very few people here are on avandia and it is possible that the benefits of avandia are similar to met.
For the last few years I have felt weaker than normal and experienced more achiness and muscle pain. Everyone says, "Oh you're just getting older". I am as active as before, haven't put on more than a few pounds but my symptoms of PCOS have steadily worsened. This has not been debilitating or anything just bothersome. I did also have the fatigue after meals and other hypoglycemic issues. Sooo, my doctor prescribed avandia 3 weeks ago. I have had no side affects, except I lost those few extra pounds already and am noticing not only an increased ammount of stamina but the muscle aches are gone! Could they have been related to IR conditions? DOes or did anyone else experience these and their improvement when put on insulin sensitizing meds? I am really feeling quite good the longer I take this. Am so hopeful it will cause AF so I don't have to return to BC PILLS!

I'm on gluc and can't remember having muscle aches before I started. But I was always tired - no energy. Since starting gluc my energy has really increased - a definite good side effect! |

Hope it helps.

I've also seen the return of my sex-drive (My hubby and I are thrilled) and the return of my once long lost AF. I've had 3 periods since starting met in June.......and I'd only had 2 before that in the whole year.
My skin is clearing up, my facial hair has gotten better, my moods are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better. Though met has had a few ucky side effects for me, I'm still SO grateful.

I really do feel this medicine is helping with the unexplained aches and pains. It was hard to explain what I feel just more than normal aches and muscle pain and fatigue. I feel 10 years younger. MORE ENERGY!
