Default Goodbye Sir Ed

Sir Edmund Hillary passed away this morning 9am NZDT. Probably best known for being the first to reach the summit of Mt Everest but also for his work helping the Sherpa people of Nepal.

Rest in Peace Ed!

I'm havin trouble with the site the last couple of days, I tried to say this morning... I got hm frm wk early enough 2 just catch the start of the funeral, rebecca - u r right it was very moving.

I was amazed @ hw many medals frm different countries he was awarded! I was a bit annoyed @ TV 1 for cutting the footage for the news I though we would be able to see it all the way to the cemetary bah!

Mine is between my internet & the site, Sometimes I can load threads but no reply, I can't get the site to load at all or I can't use quick reply.

I just can't load replies I have typed or get into 'post reply' which usually works when quick reply doesn't work or simply my internet refuses to load SC home page at all, it just sits there as a blank pg like its loading...but its not!

Thats what happens to me and then eventually (up to 5 minutes later - I've usually opened another tab and moved on) it stops trying to load and I get a database error.

Err my bad, it seems the funeral footage was deliberately cut at that point by prior arrangement with his family, it would have helped if they mentioned that at all during their commentary!

Feburary - I give up & come back later when it works, its just a pain to re type everything
