Well, it's official! I just heard from my agency this evening that our dossier has been logged in in China! The official log in date is 2/18/03. Our dossier was sent on 2/13/03--that's a pretty quick turnaround for China.
YAY!!!!

Michelle--Currently the wait for referral lies someplace between 12-13 months after DTC....however it's dropping dramatically now. What happened is China instituted a quota system last year in order to sort of 'catch up' on all the referrals.
What they are doing now is referring 2 months at a time, most recently December '01 & January '02 was received on February 21st.
So, in essence, if they continue to double up on referrals (processing 2 months at time) I could receive my referral for Lily as soon as September of this year!!! That really is the best case scenario & it is assuming they continue to double up on referrals. If not, it'll be by the end of the year, I am sure. I am on some email groups and we do this speculating all the time...you know, all the "what if's" and such.
Once referral is received they generally give 4-8 weeks until travel. So, I am praying she may even be home by Christmas!!
Of course, a lot of the referral time shortening is speculation and I really do try not to get my hopes up. That's one reason why my family does not know this 'speculating' is happening yet! LOL
Thanks for asking!

Oh Lisa, I'm so happy for you. I rarely come to this forum, but saw your post and just had to reply. It would be amazing if you had Lily home for Christmas, what a wonderful family time that would be. I will need to drop by here more often!!!

You are right, every little step feels so gigantic in the long process! I have been extremely lucky that everything is going smoothly and the fact that the CCAA is predicting a shorter wait is making it even sweeter.
**Tells self not to get hopes up!!**
Thanks for your posts....I love sharing my joy with you wonderful women!
PS--Deeds--Yes, you should drop by here more often....we have some wonderful ladies posting in this forum!
