Question Gravy recipie for IR diet?

Hi, does anyone know a recipe for gravy when you are on the IR diet, I have just looked at the instant Gravy I normally use and it has loads of carbs in it.
Do you guys make your own or use a special brand
Thanks
Clare xx

Talking Mmmmm...Graaavvvvyyyyy

Here you go, Clare! These are for a low carb diet...if you're doing another plan that doesn't allow as much fat, use lower fat ingredients where you can. I follow the IR diet, and although the heavy cream in this recipe may look scary, remember that you're only using a small portion of this recipe at a time. I don't have it often, and usually, I make a batch and freeze the rest in ice cube trays for future use.

Beef Gravy

1 can (14 1/2 oz.) beef broth
2 tbs. dry red wine
1 tsp. liquid beef boullion concentrate
1 tbs finely minced onion
1 sm clove garlic, crushed
3/4 tsp guar or xanthan (get at a health food store)
1/3 c heavy cream
1/4 tsp Gravy Master or similar gravy seasoning liquid
Salt and pepper

In a heavy saucepan, combine the broth, wine, boullion concentrate, onion, and garlic. Bring to boil over med. heat, and let it boil until reduced to 1/3 original amount. (takes 15-20 mins.)
Pour mixture into a blender, turn it on, and add the guar. Blend 15 seconds. Pour back into the saucepan, turn the heat on low, and whisk in the cream and the seasoning liquid. Salt and pepper to taste.

Makes 8 servings of 2 tbs, each with less than 2g carbs, 1 g fiber, and 3g protein.
