A friend of mine lives in the Boston area and was able to attend the first wedding ceremony performed in a church. She said the church which was a Unitarian Universalist church was beautiful as was the ceremony. What a great day for all gay and lesbian people in the USA!!

You're right, it is a wonderful day for gays and lesbians. I remember writing in a column a few years ago that I didn't think I would live to see the day when same sex couples could legally marry in the United States.

A co-worker of mine just went to her first wedding shower here in Boston. Only she wasn't which one of the girls the shower was for :-)
It's been a great week here, and it is comforting to see people's horizons broaden as they discuss the news these days. :-)
Kelly I wish you all the best for your trip to MA, let's just hope Gov. Romney gets over himself by then and stops making different rules for the straight couples (he is taking off same-sex marriages of the registers, if they can't proof they live in or intend to live in MA, straight couples are almost never asked to proof that)
I am still hoping that this all snowballs and turns into one big avalanche cross country, I am hearing rumors about some counties or states following lead soon. :-)
Oh i am so happy for you. You'll have to post pics. It is a great day for human beings i would say. That we have such a victory, I hope all states follow suit. I unfortunatly live in a horrible state that passed a law forbiding gay marriage. Makes me so mad that people can be so horrible!! Love Holly
