Great doctor in St. Louis

Dr. Barry Witten ... a wonderful RE in St. Louis (Creve Couer area). He prescribed me Metformin and Clomid on my first visit. He is very kind and not fat phobic. I weigh 270 lbs and he only mentioned once that a 10% drop in weight would improve my chances. The rest of the nurses and staff were wonderful too!

I'm really happy to hear that! We're going to be looking for an RE very soon in the STL area and since I don't know a soul here (except coworkers) it is awful nice to have other reviewers! Thank you!

I've heard another good doctor in the St. Charles area is Dr. Jerome Thurman. Right now I'm seeing Dr. Emily Jungheim at Washington University.

Jerome Thurman is a plain endocrinologist, but he's a very kind and funny man. I've seen him several times. He's very pro-Metformin, and will prescribe Clomid unmonitored. Dr. Witten is a reproductive endocrinologist, and is also just a very kind, caring person. My husband and I were in treatment with him for 9-10 months a few years ago, and are considering resuming treatment with him soon. I'd recommend him to anyone. Hope this helps!

After seeing Dr. Witten for several months, I am even more pleased with him than when I wrote my first post. I really can't say enough good things about him! I agree with previous poster... I would recommend him to anyone. I just wish I could hurry up and get preggo so that I don't have to see him again until trying for number 2!
