Default Great dr in Jax FL

I love my OB/GYN! Dr. Mike Phelan was my miracle worker. I suspected for years that I might have PCOS but none of the drs I saw know anything about it and did not dx me. A friend of mine went to Dr. Mike and was dx with PCOS. I made an appt a month later and was dx.

Dr. Mike works with 3 midwives, 1 of which is his wife. Paula Phelan is a thin cyster, which is why Dr. Mike knows so much about PCOS he lives with it!!! Both of their children were conceived on Clomid, so he understands the whole charting issue.

Dr. Mike dx me 11/02, I started Clomid in 01/03 and was pg in May. I now have a beautiful baby girl that I have waited over 11yrs to have.

Here is his info:

Dr. Mike Phelan
2525 Riverside Ave
Jax, FL 32205
904-388-0704

He has rights at both Baptist and St. Vincent's Hospital. Hope this helps.

Jeanette

That's so great you found such an awesome doctor! May I ask if you are also a thin cyster, or was he OK with starting you on Clomid even if you were overweight?

I am a very fluffy cyster. I am 5" 4 in and I was 245 when I found out I was pg. He advised me to try to lose weight but said I could start the Clomid. He understood how hard it was for me to lose weight. I conceived on 2000mg of Met and 150 of Clomid days 5-9. I conceived on the 3rd cycle after trying on my own for 11yrs!!!! He also let my friend go on Clomid and she is about 5"7 and 267lbs. He is a really great dr, check him out if you haven't found a good dr yet. Any other ? feel free to pm me or email me at chriskenzie@msn.com
