Hi! New to the board. I've recently relocated to Central FL and am desperate to get what I believe to by my PCOS treated.
I saw Dr. Trolice's info on another board and tried to get an appointment. Just an FYI to anyone else out there that there is a 3 month waiting list currently to get into the office.

If anyone knows of ANY other Dr. in the Orlando metro treating PCOS with metformin and NOT BCP (because I want a baby, not trying to avoid one, lol), please email.

Thanks so much for any help!!!

Exactly where is his office located? I was going to Central Florida Endocrine and Diabetes Consultants, P.A. over in Maitland. I was seeing Dr. Sohail Ali. There are 2 others Dr's in that office also.

Wendy,

The office is in Winter Park. I went ahead and booked an appointment for July, but I really really need to be seen by someone sooner. I would like to be pregnant by then, lol!

Thanks Tracy for the info! I know you said you didn't want to wait to long and you already booked a appointment for that office, but if you want you could check out where I was going in Maitland there are 3 Dr's in that office building and there is a woman Dr. I heard she is really good, at the time I could only get into there and it was to Dr. Ali. You could call or check to see if they have a waiting list. I know I got in there within a week or two after my regular Dr saw me. So, it wasn't a very long wait. If you want the info or phone number to there office I will post it...just let me know.

* Tracy...do you already have a OB/GYN you see?

Not sure how far out of Orlando you guys are interested in....but I see Dr. Diran Chamoun (he's not middle eastern). He's located in Melbourne and doesn't have a waiting list. He's very nice and thorough. His number is 321-724-4410 and he's located by Holmes Regional Hospital.

I just had to chime in as I saw Dr. Trolice for a consult but he was unwilling to help me as I am overweight. I also did not like that the office was pushing me to have an untrasopund there even though I had just had one done 2 weeks prior. If I would have had it in there office it would of cost me over $200.00! I also went through the whole assessment, had had all my records sent there, and had waited several months as well to get in only to meet with the Dr. at the end of a long appointment to hear that he would not help me until I lost weight. It was very upsetting to go through all that and then to not even be helped in the end! I wish someone had said something on the front end so I could of avoided all that as I already knew I should lose weight!!

On the plus side - I was able to get pregnant on my own and we now have a beautiful little baby boy!!

I'm new here...well, newly registered. I've been lurking off and on forever.

You can try Wendy Huhn at Diabetes & Endocrine Center - the office is kinda by Fashion Square Mall in Orlando.

She's good, I just got tired of her giving me the same weight speech every time I went in and quit going. (Yes, I need to lose weight. I know. I've been trying off and on for years.)

There are a couple other doctors there as well, can't vouch for them, but last I heard, Wendy wasn't taking new patients (my mom sent a friend of hers to her some time ago and she ended up getting in with one of the male doctors there and he's got her on some kind of injections and she's lost weight pretty quickly with them). Wendy had me on metforman and spironolactone.

Anywho, she may be back to taking new people so give it a shot if you want. She's always in the top 100 doctors in Central Florida book (don't recall the exact name...I think it's published by Orlando Magazine)...my OB/GYN is too, he was the one that hooked me up with Wendy when my insurance changed and I had to find a new GYN.

Huhn, Wendy C MD - Diabetes & Endocrine Center

(407) 894-3241

3113 Lawton Rd # 100
Orlando, FL 32803

Funny, after I quit seeing her, I found out she lived 6 doors down from the house I grew up in - and she lived there a good portion of the time I lived there. Small world. She must not have had kids then, cause I was *the* babysitter of choice for the neighborhood doctors LOL
