The main part of your food should come from proteins such as meat, seafood, and eggs. And, good sources of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats like olive oil, canola oil, nuts, and avocados.

Next you want to eat phytonutrient rich leafy green and brightly colored vegetables like tomatoes, romaine lettuce, artichokes, eggplant, broccoli, green beans and more

Supplement with delicious cheeses, nuts, seeds, butter, and low glycemic fruits

Use VERY rarely bread, potatoes, pasta, sweets, rice, and high sugar fruits like bananas, pineapples or oranges

started 6 weeks of PSMF on 14 July and
Finished Round 1 - 21lbs lighter
my dieting programme is currently on hold due to a bereavement - aiming to maintain until I'm ready to start again.

Thanks!!! That is very helpful for a newbie like me. One question though... I don't like to eat much meat (I used to be vegetarian but have been trying to eat meat some for health reasons.) Do you have any suggestions for a non-meat protein diet for if I do end up finding out that I have PCOS?

That pyramid is a great help! I'm a beginner on the low carb diet, and I'm making my first grocery list. That (and a few other resources I've found) definitely help.
