I'm new to the boards and new to confronting my PCOS. I was diagnosed over a year ago but have since been quietly and (begrudgingly) dealing with the symptoms of PCOS without really addressing them. I guess in a way I may have had PCOS for years and years but never know, because I have been using the birth control pill since I was about 12 years old. When I finally stopped in 2003 to rule out migraine triggers, that's when I was diagnosed with PCOS (no periods for over 6 months, pimples, facial hair, sudden weight gain). I went on Depo Provera for about a year but again, my migraines came back.
I started exercising regularly and training for 10K runs last year, and have since lost 30 lbs.! My next goal is to properly battle the facial hair and oily skin -- I had the best skin when I was on hormonal birth control! Now it's oily and nasty. Hope I can find a way to manage this.

Moving on to IVF after a year of infertility and 3 Femara cycles. Lupron started on 7/27.

I can relate to your oily skin and facial hair. I also have problems with acne but not too severe of a case. My oily skin is the major factor on my face but have been able to stabilize it with Proactive. My skin is clear and the only break outs that I have are usually around the time that I have my periods. It may be able to help you too.
