Default Grrrrrrr @ my Doctor

I went and got my scan results friday just gone. My Doctor wentto great lengths to tell me that I have a fibroid and this must surely be causing all my problems

I mentionned that the doc performing the scan had told me I have poly cystic ovaries and surely this must contribute to the problems, to which I was told "Oh PCOS is hardly anything to worry about, it's just a worry if you're trying to conceive".

Net result the Gyn is going to wrote to me and hopefully they will be a better source of information / support etc.

I really must change Doctors,at the moment, however, I am awaiting some other results so I am somewhat stuck where I am. To say I was agitated by the 5min consultation would be putting it mildly

I am sorry to here about that, my PCP does write alot of it off athough this time around he did say that when the experimental drug comes out for PCOS and weight he would consider me. SO that made me feel good. But this is why I went to a Midwife because they are so willing to listen. Good Luck with the rest of your results

There seems to be a lot of doctors around like this that totally ignore the fact PCOS is serious... it's so annoying, if it was there body they would be the first to complain!

My doc was pretty much the same. My new gyno is great. He did tests and put me on Met.
