Hi Ladies,

Apologies for this STUPID question

My endocrinologist has asked that I get a GTT done next week for insulin and glucose.

He wants insulin done before the glucose load at 1min, 5 mins, 10mins then the glucose load then 1hr then 2 hrs after.

I am scared to death of having 6 blood tests done over 2 hours - plus the other hormone and cholesterol tests he's ordered.

Do you know whether pathology labs would do it via cannula so that I'm stabbed only once?

In my hospital experiance they dont like to do the canular but in this case they probably will as it will be easyer less painful and easyer for them to..i know whats its like
