Thread: Guatemala.

My husband and I have been looking into the international adoption option. Since my husband has a spinal cord injury , there are some countries that will not let us adopt...plus I am not yet 30 so that limits others. I was lucky to find a group on yahoo of individuals with disabilities who have adopted and am looking into the agencies they have used...we are really liking how Guatemala looks. I was wondeirng if anyone on here has adopted from there. I know they have passed some laws this year that may make it more difficult. We have also talked about a surrogate if the international adoption seems impossible but I don't know anyone who has done that.

My husband is an adoptee, he adopted his first wifes son when he was 1yr old, we both have been theraputic foster parents in both GA and MS,,, so we kinda understand the process we are looking at but I am still trying to learn.
