Last Thursday I found out that I am pregnant. Monday's beta reading was 244 and I go in tomorrow for my second beta. Currently, I am having low back discomfort especially on my right side down my leg. It's not painful, just pretty uncomfortable. Should I be concerned???

This forum here is amazing...
I was reading a couple posts on the first page and it is good stuff to know. I just found out I was pregnant ... 1 week and a half ago. I am 7 weeks along.
The reason why I didn't find out sooner is cause my periods are very irregular, and I was cramping prior to my period as I always do. That's my indication that my period is coming in a week or so. However after my period never came I took a test, didn't think much of the cramping until it came back. Now it's been pretty fierce these last couple days. My mom has told me that if I do not see spotting or bleeding I should be fine, but to mention it to my doctor when I go in, in August. It's really painful,.. is there anything that I can do for myself in the mean time? Can I use a heating pad? They are bad enough they make me have to sit down. Which this is normal for my period, but I am used to being able to take something.

The cramps are probably round ligament pains. Try drinking lots of water and getting as much rest as you can. I'm not sure about using a heating pad.

Thanks for the input... those are two things that I definitely know I am not getting enough of. I will do my best to fix that.

I'd also like to add to the concern list that if you don't see your baby at five or six weeks don't panic!

I had an u/s at around 6 weeks or so and they couldn't find the baby. Scared me for two days and I had a repeat u/s and there she was hiding out. Sometimes it's just too early to see them but it always makes us new mommies upset.

A lot of women have spotting in the first trimester- I did and the baby is fine. My doc said to watch out for bright red blood and cramping. My spotting was always brown.

I didn't vomit once during pregnancy and still baby is fine. I was nauseated though.
thanks for the info about the u/s at 6 wks...i'm going in for my first one on monday...and have been nervous about it... so its good to know before going in it may just be too early

I have been having that kind of back pain since I was 5 weeks. I'm now 19 weeks 2 days. I have been told it is normal. Try sleeping on your side or laying or your side when you start getting pain.

Constipation during pregnancy is common. Try drinking lots of water and eating lots of fiber. I ate prunes during my pregnancies and that helped. I also ate a bowl of fiber one cereal every day.

ok thanks this is extremely frustrating because I barely even have an appetite right now. I am trying to drink lots of water but can't get much of anything down because my body doesn't want it! My precious gift has taken over my body and its no longer my own, lol.

Default No morning sickness, mild cramps, low progesterone...

I'm about 6 weeks pregnant and don't feel any of the typical symptoms. I also have low progesterone, at 12 as of yesterday, now on progesterone suppositories. Has anyone else experienced this?

THanks!

Sophie - I didn't really have strong symptoms during this pregnancy. I don't know what my p4 level was. I took supplements just to be on the safe side.

I did get more symptoms during the 2nd trimester. That gives you something to look forward to

Thanks for the links - it is frustrating that you can't see them if you are a newbie to the site though!

The other thing to be aware of before your first u/s is that you may be more or less far along than you think. I went in for my 6 1/2 week u/s and the nurse measured me at 5 1/2 weeks, and said it was too early to get a heartbeat, though we did get a little snapshot of our little lima bean! Going back next week to try again for the HB! Good luck!

I just found out that I am pregnant. I think I implanted on October 15 (CD36), I had some mild crampless spotting then. I have cramps now, with backache, and I am consitpated. Thought I saw some pink in my CM after wiping. Is that normal?
