Go here to read an article about it, but here is an excerpt: Gymnema Sylvestre And Diabetes Anything which can help the body to produce more of its own insulin is to be welcomed. In studies, Gymnema has been identified as a herb which can certainly assist in the management of diabetes. Gymnema has several properties which lends it to helping blood sugar management. It: - Reduces sugar absorbed from food in the intestines - Stimulates insulin production - It appears to build pancreatic beta cells, which produce insulin - Finally, taking Gymnema drops on the tongue dulls the sense of taste for sweet foods. So far it sounds pretty good, and I've just started it. I want to see if it has worked for others, though.

I do notice, since I've been on it that sweet things taste almost inedibly sweet.I take it as a pill, not a drop. Best of luck!

| Registered User | I was on it for a few months bu didn't buy anymore after running out. I wasn't sure it was doing anything. But after about a month I realized that it really was helping to curb carb cravings and keep bs in check...so I am back on it this week. I get 120 capsules at The Vitamin Shoppe for about $17. 2 months worth. |
