Hi all,
I'm new to the forum. Its very helpful!!
Was diagnosed with PCOS about 3 years ago, probably have it longer. Excess weight and hair, irregular periods (once every 6 -8 weeks ish).
Was on dianette but had to come off as it raised my blood pressure. It worked well while I was on it. So my GP sent me to a dermatologist, blood tests followed etc, they said nothing they could do, so she referred me for an ultrasound and then to gynae.
Went for the ultrasound in Feb, waited since before christmas. Then got a gynae appointment for May, so its this week, very nervous as its the first time I've ever been to a gynaecologist, would like to know what kind of examine they'll do? They already have ultrasound and blood test results.....
Also, to make matters worse, I'm now getting my period as of tonight......Talk about good timing! Should I cancel..........would imagine I might be waiting another 5 months (its public healthcare) or should I just go, hope that he wont or wont need to do an exam?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, making myself sick with worry all week.
Thanks guys
