Default Gyno or Endo to get a DX

I am ready to pursue this. I have had a Dr. Tell me that it is most likely PCOS based on a 4 hr fasting GTT and family history. My insurance does not require a referal to see a specialist. We are not really TTC, but we are not avoiding it either. Where can I get the most help--at a gynocologist or at an endocrinologist. I plan on calling and asking until I find a Dr. who is knowelagable about PCOS.

Thanks.

I would start with an endo. I have seen a couple gyns and other then giving me metformin (which has helped a bunch) they haven't been interested in helping me.

I started at my gyn, who ordered my labs an us. Based on my symptoms, he referred me to an endo before he even got my results. Best of luck starting treatment, and i hope you find lots of info and support here!
