Default Had lap+dye and ovarian drilling on the 11th June... Now need advice

Hey there, I had this surgery on the 11th June this year, and I was just wondering if anyone had any advice or stories to share with me? the hospital have told me nothing.... am I supposed to be taking clomid again? or will they give me that in 3 months when I go for my check up? how long should I wait before starting having sex again? have any of you had the operation and fell pregnant easily? x

Hi i had a lap and dye test a few years ago after clomid failed. They wanted me to have it before moving onto injections and iui. I would do no nothing untill your appointment, start ttc when you feel ready and just use this time to relax, eat healthily, exercise if needed just basically look after your body to get it ready for pregnancy. Did the doctor not come round after your operation or a nurse? My fertilty doctor went round all the ladies and said if any problems/blockages etc. I had PCOS only, i had cysts but no blockages, no problems with fallopian tubes etc so i went onto the injections and iui list. You could maybe give your clinic a phone and just see if they know your results or see if they could track them down so you dont get stressed out with the wait. With ovarian drilling i think is more beneficial to try straight away once u get back to normal. Does any1 have much knowledge on ovarian drilling as i always wonder if i should push to get it?
good luck and ask away if u need any more info

Well after I came round I noticed i had been down for 2 hours! so I called a nurse and asked her if everything had gone ok, she told me no blockages, both ovaries were drilled and everything went well.... upon realizing the other day that medication had not been mentioned to me I phoned the surgeons secretary and she just said that the Dr hadnt typed up the surgery letters yet so to just wait until I got my letter before doing anything

How long until after surgery is normal for a period to come? do the cycles sort themselves out staight away?

are you asking whether you can have ovarian drilling again?

Hey ladies,
i had ovarian drilling back in october, and my period came exactly a month after it, and it lasted for a month it was awful,
But then each month after that it came on time and lasted a week to ten days.
I wasnt allowed to take clomid again until id gone back for my 3 month appointment and then they started me on it, i did 50mg which didnt work and then 100mg which again didnt work, and they said i could only go as high as 100mg,
BUT being on here people tell you different things and i checked the web about clomid and found out you can easily take up to 200mg so i took 150mg myself in april, without telling the doc that as she would have killed me, they thought i was on another 100mg and i got my first ovulation in 8 years with that clomid and my BFP!!!

So im one for thinking the drilling works, and we started having sex again as soon as i felt comfortable in myself x

Any more questions feel free to ask xxx
