I just ordered some glucophage through ww.Medsmex.com. I ordered 2 orders of 500mg :-)
I'm excited!
I went to my endo to give it to me on Monday....he gave me attitude and said he is not prescribing it for me and for me to ask my family Dr.
So I went to her today and she said she rec'd a letter from Dr. Hewlitt saying that he doesn't recommend that she give me the prescription.
They both fail to understand the powers this medicine has for PCOS patients. I even brought it stats!
SOooooooooo I decided to order it on my own!! it should be hear in about 12 business days!
I also got set up with a new fertility Dr. through my family Dr b/c my other one was out of town plus an asshole (excuse my language). But its going to take about 3-4 months to even get in there.....thats too long to wait for glucophage plus they might not even wanna give it to me!
I just had a miscarrage (well still having it at the moment) and I want to do everything right this time!
Anybody else have anything to say about this??

Started DCI Aug 25th ...Hope this is what my body needs!!
I hope that everything goes well. Just be careful with the glucophage and make sure you work yourself up slowly, 500mg with dinner only for the first week, then add 500mg with breakfast so you're taking it twice a day, for a whole other week or even two, before moving up... it took me three months with a two week break in the middle to work myself up to 2000mg but the 2000mg seems to be doing it for me...

That is pretty bad that your Doctors are so freaking stupid that you have to find underground ways to get gloucophage! It just makes me mad, how many years do they go to school to be MD's? It's like they think after they have the degree they never need to keep updated on new drug treatments. Why couldn't they look it up or investigate your claims on thier own? They just say no without even checking it out. I had the same problem getting Met 3 years ago so I got it through a drug store over the internet too. I am happy that you got it! You go girl!

I'm sorry you have had such a hard time being prescribed the glucophage. The one thing that concerns me about not being under a doctor's care while taking it is it can be very dangerous to your liver. I had to have blood tests done before I started it and I believe I will be tested once a year to check for any potential problems. The chances are probably very small anything will happen but please be very careful.
