Unhappy hair on breasts. would electrolysis work

Has anyone got or had hairs including ingrown hairs on their breasts. i have and when i tweeze i have red sore marks and i am so concious as i already have small breasts so having red sore ugly marks on them makes it worse.i want to get electrolysis on this area but am unsure if it would work because since i have pcos would the hair just return,. has anyone else been or is in this position and do you think electrolysis would be worth my while and lasting.

Hi Katie!

I had LHR in that area and it has improved my outlook significicantly! I just did it on Sunday, so I am waiting for session two to see more improvement. The amount of hair that has grown back is equal to what would grow back a night after shaving, which is very little. No redness, bumps or irritation.

I think eletrolisis works, however I heard it was time consuming and works much better on a few hairs as opposed to an entire area.

I am also taking other measures such as BCP and eating right in order to control my hormone levels. LHR or electrolisis shouldn't be the only recourse with PCOS...

Good luck...and go for laser if you can!

Hey! I have electrolysis done on my breasts/ nipple hair and I am thrilled with the results. I had tried laser in the same area and sadly it didn't work for me (but it did work on my legs!). Make sure your hormone levels are steady before you try either hair removal method! I go once a month now for touch-ups on my nipples where I originally went 2x a week. But, it does take about a year of sessions to be permanent. Laser is 6+ sessions 6 weeks apart.. so around 36 weeks. I pay $15 a session for my nipple area. Good Luck!

This is an embarrassing issue for me too.. glad to hear I'm not alone! I've been on BCP for just shy of 2 weeks and had been letting things grow out to show the doctor.. I recently tweezed em all away about a week ago and nothing's grown back (yet..) I'm crossing my fingers for no ingrown hairs! Does anyone have any good anti-ingrown remedies for sensitive areas like around the nipples? I do want to get laser or electrolysis done when my hormones are better regulated.
