Lightbulb Hair clogs in tub drains - FIXED!

My tub had started to run really slow - we called the plumber and it turns out it is ALL hair! SO gross...

Anyway, the plumber suggested this tool that I totally recommend to anyone with a similar problem. It's called ZipIt - you can get it at any home improvement store in the plumbing aisle for just a couple bucks. It's a thin, flexible plastic thing with a bunch of prongs on it. You stick it down in the drain, pull it out, and it grabs all the hair on the way out.

I used it today for the first time and it worked very well. Hope this can help someone else out!

Thanks for the advice. I live in an apartment and I had the same problem. The maintance man came to fix the problem and pulled out lots of hair--It was really gross. But the most embaressing thing was that I have severe hair loss and he knew that the hair was mine.

I just die to think how much of my own hair could be in the drains. Too depressing, I don't want to see it again!

We put a stopper in like for the sink when we take a shower, everyone has to clean out their own hair!
