Does anyone else's hair not hold hair dye? It seems that my hair refuses to hold any color. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem.

when i get mine colored it doesnt last that long. maybe its hormones.

Certain colors hold better than others.
If you get a bright color try washing it under cold water and use a non alcohol based shampoo, conditioner and hair product.

I can only do highlights, which remove the color. Any added color is gone within a few weeks. Hmm......maybe our hair is too dry? Which is weird, since mine is oily at the roots, so the color SHOULD stay there!

My hair is very oily. My former hair dresser said that hormones could affect the color so I'm thinking that that might be it. I was just tryin to see if anyone else had that problem.

My hair has a hard time holding reds.....otherwise i dont usually have a problem! ive got black on right now and i cant get rid of it! grrrr....i know it has a lot to do with genetics and natural pigment, i went to beauty school and i asked my instructers the exact same question
