Question Hair Growth and Stopping BCP

I am just asking random here, I am stopping BCP's and was wanting to know everyone's experiences with the hair growth with this. My hormones are in normal range, take Janumet, Fish Oil, Metamucil (about the only person on met with opposite stomach effects), and cabergoline-had elevated level of prolactin.
I just want this hair gone! It started at 17, my brother noticed it. That was nice. It just got progressively worse as I got older. The crazy thing is that No ONE would do anything about it. I was told I have a over active ovary, that was it. Tried electrolosis with no results, just scarring.
I hope I am not going to make it worse with out the BCP!

I've been on BCP's since I was 15. I'm 22 now. I've only gone off of them twice before. The first time was for about six months. In that six months I'd I may have ended up with a few more hairs, but I also got horrible cystic acne like I had never had before and that's all I could see. I went back on them for a year and my skin cleared up and I didn't have a problem with getting more hair, just dealt with what I already had. Again a few months ago I went off the pill for about 2 months (stupid, just didn't refill the prescription because apparently I guess forgot how bad things get with me when I don't take the stuff.) The acne came back and I ended up with black hairs on the sides of my chin that I'd never had before. That scared me so I started taking it again. That's just my experience though. I'm not saying that this will happen to you. I guess all you can do is try it and see what happens. I know how frustrating it can be, and I hope everything goes well for you.

I was put on BCP at 15 to regulate my periods, I was not sexually active at the time, so I would go about 3 months on 3 months off until I was 24, then I pretty much stayed on it until now that we are TTC. I had problems w/ facial hair before BCP's, during, and now off. I honestly saw no conection between facial hair and BCP, at least for me. I do have more facial hair now unfortunaltely, but I sarted getting more at about 25, when I was taking the pill with no break, so that's my experince.

As for brother's you can always trust them to be brutally honest, I put on a little weight after I got married, my brother said I had proved his theory on "married women's ass syndrome" he says it's what happens when women are in a stable relationship. oh well.

I went back on the Yasmin. As a experiment to go off and see what would happen- nothing happened. My endo is an idiot. I asked him how the blood tests looked, different he says. Not good, not bad, different. A??hole.
I need a new endo, but that is a different post!
Thanks

My facial hair was REALLY bad before going on the pill. After being on the pill, I had NO facial hair..except light peach fuzz. I never had to pluck any stray black hairs. But after being on the pill for 11 years, I quit cold turkey. Its been about 20 months without the hormones and unfortunatly alot of the hair came back. I have to pluck every morning and bleach once a week. I was expecting it to return and it did. For so long I was never uncomfortable being out in the sun with my hair up or having people look at my face. Now I'm back to hiding my face being so self-conscious.
