I've been having hair loss for a few years now.(I'm 18). I just took a shower and when I wash my hair I have to use conditioner a lot of the time. Well I was washing my hair and tons came out. I'm not exaggerating either. I use to having a quite bit of hair loss in the shower but not this much. I cried really hard when I seen all the hair.
Is there any medication that can help this? Or anything I can do myself.
What are your Testosterone levels? I suffered with devastating hair loss for 20+ years. I now take an anti-androgen to lower my Testosterone levels, and work on the DHT. My hair loss has stopped. My hair is fuller and I have some new growth. I hope that it will all fill in eventually. I've been on Flutamide for almost a year now.
Are you being treated by an Endocrinologist? You cannot take anti androgens if you are trying to conceive. HTH

I used the shampoo Nioxin for about a year and saw great results with it. I recently ran out and haven't been able to afford to get new stuff. I've heard mixed reviews about it, it works for some but not others. You can buy it at most hair salons. Mine was like $15 for each bottle something like that. They all have different kinds for your hair type.
