Hi! I'm new! My question is when should I start to panic about hair loss? I was dx with PCOS 1 year ago, but have been annovulatory for 5 years. I've been losing hair severely for about 1 year, maybe longer. Everyone tells me this is normal with stress and weight fluctuation, which I have had a lot of both recently. Is it going to continually get worse, and is there something I should be doing to prevent it? I have facial hair above my lip, on my chin, and on the sides of my face. I don't think I need to tell anyone how humiliating this is, I've even managed to hide it from my husband because I am so embarrassed. My GYN gave me Vaniqua, has anyone else used this? They say it takes about 8 weeks to see improvment, I've been using it for about 3 weeks and have not seen anything improve yet. Feedback would be great!

Unfortunatly, no one can really say when the hair loss/growth will stop or how severe your case will be. It's different for different women. There is a lot of advice, help and support on the issue in a forum called "Hair in the wrong places/hair loss" that you might want to check out. You'll find cysters that have used Vaniqua and also the treatments some cysters use for hair loss. Lots of luck.
