Hair loss: down there

I've recently noticed that my hair has been thinning in the nether region. It isn't as if this type of deforestation is a bad thing; I rather prefer it

. However, I haven't shaved that part of my body in months, and the fact that this is happening is kind of creepy. Has anyone else come across this problem? If so, what does it mean, or what is it related to?

I also have a bartholin's cyst and have recently been diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease though I really can't see a connection with either of these two other disorders.

it's so weird..like there's hardly any left and it got straighter? i don't understand. i've had a rough time with life sinece i was 10 and when i turned 19 i started with the hairlos/hair growth, weight loss and skin issues. i'm so done with it. i just want this sufering to stop. i dont want to be in this world anymore

Mine hasn't gotton thinner, but it has gotton straighter. It's kinda freaky. I wish I had some "deforestation" goin on. I have shaved but I didn't really care for it. Especially when it grew back. I just want it to reduce naturally. Nehalem I'm with you. I am so done with it. Enough is enough!

hey can you tell me about your experience with all this crap? i've been dealling with it for 2 years. itried 4 different bcps but all of them made me really nervous and made me have hot flashes and night sweats. so my gyn. suggested that i take premphase...which ihaven't decided if i will or not because if the bcps made me have hot flashes and stuff then why would a lower dose HRT pill help? have you heard of pcos being treated with HRT? have you tried any alternative things like saw pawmetto, or vitex? do you know if vitex lowers testosterone?

my hair down there has always been sparse, i've only noticed in the last 2 years that half of it is straight

i don't know whether to laugh or cry with this crap sometimes

Same situation - my hair has thinned and is straighter. It is definitely PCOS hormone related. I was really quite upset about it when it started going that way, but I've gotten used to it now.

Wow --good to know Im not alone. I thought I was a freak of nature. Only adult person I have seen with less is my grandmother ( I care for her) and she is 87.

Is this sudden loss in the pubic region? Are you losing eye brow hair as well? Might want to consider getting your testosterone levels checked again and ask your doc to run a thyroid panel. Thyroid issues can, in some cases, cause all over hair loss.
