I was diagnosed with PCOS in June 2005 and noticed a couple of months after taking Metformin that my hair was starting to thin. I don't have any visible bald patches and the hair is evenly coming out. I am currently seven months pregnant with my second child and have noticed that my hair has started to shed daily. I'm getting to the point that I'm almost afraid to brush it. I don't use any styling products, just Dove volume shampoo and conditioner. During my first pregnancy in 2002, my hair was typically thick and full because of the pregnancy hormones prolonging the growth cycle. Has anyone else experienced this during pregnancy? I'm worried that after delivery I'm going to lose even more!

Preganancy usually makes your hair thicker adn more shiny etc becuase of hte hormones its after pregnancy that people have teh post partum shed adn can lose a lot of hair .. my twin who is also PCOS lost a LOAD of hair after the baby ..
