I think my recent drastic hair loss in front coincided with an overnight acne breakout on my forehead. I really haven't had a problem with acne since I was a teen, so I was a little confused when I was washing my face one morning and my forehead was covered in little bumps. I can't even really see them, they're so small. My forhead is super, super oily by the end of the day, though, and the little bumps just keep coming back. Anyway, that was about the same time as my hair in front started falling out so I'm wondering if there is a connection. My testosterone is high, but not as high as it's been in the past when my hair was not falling out. I'm so frustrated about this. I've got an appointment with the dermatologist later this month, but I'm wondering if anyone here may have some thoughts on this. Thanks

An androgen surge would make sense. I think I stopped taking my Yasmin in the middle of the pack at around the same time. That's probably not good for you. I hope the derm. can help, too. I've seen some things on here I'd like to try, but I don't want to start anything before I know forsure what's causing it. Thanks again.

definately see someone that knows their hormones - naturopath/nutritionist maybe endochrinologist...did you have any major stresses recently?
I've thought about seeing an endo. but I'd have to travel to do it. Small town living is such a hassle sometimes. I'm lucky there's a dermo. in town. And, yes, I did have a major stress at the end of May/beginning of June which is right about when my hair loss really took off. Hmmm... I wondered if that could have caused it, but that was a while ago. Why would it still be falling out/not growing back?

Maybe you have a problem with absorbing nutrients? STress depletes B Vitamins.
Definately go and see someone professional..and if you do have to travel - make a trip of it- trust me you don't want to have to think..oh i wish i had got it checked out back then - it might just be nothing!
