Default hair loss,hair growth

At what point did your hair loss start? At what point did the face hair grow? I do have large amounts of hair loss but not any face hair yet.My testosterone is 116 and dhea level is 536.Endo said 1 1/2 times higher than what they want to see. He is still testing me for everything under the son,and won't treat the huge hormones untill he does.My fear is that by the time he finishes making me jump through his hoops that the rest of my hair will be gone and I'll be sporting a beard! Does anyone know of anything I can do to help myself until he decides its important enough to help me? Right now hes testing my kidney function, and I dont even know that that has anything to do with anything, not to mention I had a ct to lok at adrenals and kideys 1 month ago nad they all came out good!
Any ideas or advice? Thanks,
Amber

heh I also and still looking for a solution. my doctors refuse to test me, think its a waste of money because the meds i'm on play with my hormones. No kidding. how do i know they are working if they don't test.

Anyway. sorry for venting.

My hair growth started at puberty also. I remember in highschool being the freak of the school cause i had a beard. I remember mom waxing it off because she was sick of me coming home in tears. that waxing changed my life. I started shaving after that when people weren't looking at me funny anymore.

Hair loss started aug 2003. changing from alesse to diane 35 triggered it. changed back to alesse because of the depression diane 35 caused about 2 weeks after starting diane 35. hair loss has yet to stop.

my hair growth started around puberty as well. I was 14 and having electrolysis treatements which hurt like hell.

Haven't had any noticable hair loss yet...hoping that symptom will pass me by. :S

Same here. Facial hair growth started in my teens. Hair loss started a couple of years ago.

Default Since I was about thirteen

I had a moustache when I was thirteen, I had more facial hair than the boys in my class. It was terrible. This all happened shortly after my first mense. Then it skyrocketed to new levels, so by the time I was sixteen, I had a stache, sideburns, whole tummy, I'm not just talking below the belly button folks, the whole darn thing, thighs were hairy. I couldn't figure this out as everyone else in my family was as hairless as a wax manequin. I just figured some girls don't have periods, some gain huge amounts of weight in the timespan of a month without doing anything to gain it, and some unfortunately are hairy freaks. I was all of those. I never made the connection between my absent periods and hair growth until my cousin was diagnosed with PCOS when she was eighteen years of age. Just imagine if she never told me, how long I might of gone on believing this. Hell, I probably would of killed myself. And I'm not joking either when I say this. For me, a diagnosis was a relief.

Since puberty for me with the excessive hair growth. Since approx. 1996 for the hair loss, eventually 'lost the rag' last year and got diagnosed in October with PCOS.
