Default Hair loss - How bad can it get?

Hi

Alot of ladies have talked about losing hair in handfuls for long periods of time. I was wondering if there are any ladies who have lost all/most of their hair and have resorted to wairing wigs/hair extensions. I wanted to know because I read somewhere that hairloss in women very unusually leads to complete baldness and just wondered if it was true.

I work in a clothing store for plus sized women and I see tons of people daily.. Though I can't tell if their hair loss is / was 'cause of PCOS.

Some women have / have had really bad hair loss. A few of my personal clientele, have the male partern baldness, though so bad they basically only have the "crown" (hair around the head but nothing on top) left. and a few have the hair line problem. where its bald on top and sides practically to the middle of their scalp.. while for some its so thin all over its as tho if it the hair was blond we may not even notice there was much there.

As for myself, my hair loss seems to be a bit concentrate on top of the head... hair line and a bit further back.. though lately i have noticed that it seems to have started to even out. Don't know how bad it'll get.

One lady that shops at my store wears a wig, its noticeable when she doesn't take care of it but last time she looked great. it was hard to tell.

I have to say while on the topic, though its a very depressing thing to go through, I admire these ladies, who all show confidence when they come in. as if "its part of life" and it doesn't seem to stop them. they all have quite a character that I truly enjoy. My hat goes off to them because I honestly don't know how they can be so strong.
