Default Hair loss and new hair styles?

Does anyone have any suggestions for some hairstyles that help to make your hair fuller or help to hide the baldness?

Well, I do it with wigs. But you don't wanna hear that, do you?

I know some people here use a fiber hair thickener, Toppik, which will help any style look fuller.

I'm actually trying the "Thicker Fuller Hair" shampoo for a good week or so to see if it really does work. I really do want to try something like Toppik I am just afraid that since my scalp is always so dry and sensitive it may present a problem. In lieu of all that, I use small little barettes to hide the natural part in my hair that is noticeably wider.

I'm having the same problem. I only way I can get my baldness to hide is if I keep my hair in a pony tail, put up just so, so that all the hair is covering the thin spots. But pony tails everyday are horrible for your hair and cause breakage (like I don't have enough of that all ready). But I'm so embarrassed by the thinning, I feel like I have no other choice.

I think I will get my hair cut a little shorter and layered so it will curl more and I may not have to use heat to dry it. It is not only getting thinner but it looks very dry.

I was contemplating this for quite some time. I finally decided to get my hair cut short today actually, and I really like it. =) My hair is naturally wavy and it's cut short but not too short... the hair is brushed somewhat forward and not really parted, so it seems to be doing well with covering the thinning front area.

This is something I'm having a problem with too lately. I'm trying to let my hair grow out again..it's JUST past my collarbone right now, but I want about another 2 inches. I guess I'm just trying to get it long again, before I really have to accept that I'm probably going to lose it one day. But it's definately starting to thin more and more. Like I posted somewhere else, I can't remember the last time I took a shower and DIDN'T have a handfull or two of hair come out. But I just need a new style for right now. It's very plain, and blah right now. I had the BF's SIL cut it, and she screwed it up and put funky layers on top and none on the bottom, so I've been trying to fix it, while growing it out, but it's just...blah right now. I'm very tempted to cut it shorter again, but it's taken me almost 5 years to get it where it is now. Not because my hair grows slowly, it actualy grows rather fast, but because I let stupid people like BF's SIL cut it and screw it up.

The longer my hair is, the worse and worse it looks. I have severe thinning over the top and crown of my head, thin but not balding on the sides. I get my hair cut to about chin length, with lots of layers and angling to my face. I have a new stylist who is AMAZING! He puts in 6 or 7 foil highlights, very blonde, my hair is naturally dirty blonde. He puts them in in such a way that they are lighter with various shades of color in the spots that i am thinnest, and for a few weeks when i first get it cut and done, it looks great. Unfortunately i'm at the point where nothing will cover the balding completely, but i find no one notices it as much as i do. Whether i'm having an awesome hair day, a terrible one, whether dark or light, everyone knows my hair is very thin, but no one notices these little differences that i focus so much on.
