I knew it was bad the first time I got a sunburn on my scalp. I've taken all types of meds for pcos and none of them ever helped my hair.

How do you find wearing a wig? Is it itchy and hot? Do you have more than one? My scalp has been sunburnt a bit over the past few years... it really hurts!

My hair is okay now, but I'd like it even thicker, so I would like to go in for another procedure. It's about $4,000 though, which I can't swing right now, so I'll have to wait. But I want it so badly now!! | hello... this is in reply to your post way back in 2006. i dunno if yo u get to see my msg. anyway, i m 25 yrs old and am have hairloss since 10 years already. I didnt know then that I had PCOS. I was only diagnosed in 2005 but now i have decided to take things in my hands. I am TTC as well and know that after baby, the hair will lose even more and i will b completely bald. i dunno what kind of hair loss i have. its most in the whole head, at the back my hair is ok and no one can believe i can have thin hair.. but u see in front, you will see so many bald patches, spots, its so embarassing. there is hair there but not enuff to fill up my scalp (like any normal woman).
Since it has been so many years since u had a transplant, can you please give me an update as to how your hair is now? did u see any positive change... also how old r u now? Your help will b greatly appreciated, i m planning to fly to my country for this purpose... thanks and GOD BLESS |

I agree that you should keep looking into options, but keep some hope. I'm 25 with severe hair loss on the back, particularly the top of my head, and the crown. I know how you feel. It's awful, but I keep hope alive that maybe one day it will get better. |
