I have hairs too hun. It's not fun, I know. My facial hair problem is pretty much on the sides of my face. I call it my "sideburns" lol I also have a little bit on my upper lip and a couple dark hairs that grow on the underside of my chin. I pluck those chin hairs. The rest, I shave it off, which I know is NOT the best thing to do, considering regrowth. I do have to shave twice a day on those areas and it sux. What is there to do? I have too much hair that I can't just pluck it all. It's very frustrating.

I started getting facial hair when I was in junior high and it sucked. People who don't understand (which is most people in junior high) were so mean.

My mom was nice enough to take me to electrolysis places, to get waxed, whatever would work.

talk to your parents if you can and see what they can do to help.

I've been there though. I totally understand.

hey! just wanted to say that youre definatly not alone on this one. i have hair on my chin, neck, upper lip and a few on the sides of my face.
There are alot of ways you can get rid of it. I waxed for a long time, now i am going to lazer treatments, so I have to shave inbetween.
Maybe go to yellowpages.com and look up lazer hair removal in your area and call to get price estimates to show your parents, or look up salons and ask how much facial waxing is. Don't be emberassed, i worked in a salon for a long time and it's not that uncommon. If you can't affor either of these things I would just start to pluck them out as soon as you see them. It might feel like a huge deal right now but it doesn't have to be.

It is also really important that your doctor knows when this is getting worse or better (the hair) and do tests to see how your hormones are and stuff.

I too remember suffering through this problem in HS, only I had no idea what was going on. For me, plucking is still the best solution to my chin hair problems, although I also use an over the counter hair reducing cream.

Exclamation Do something NOW

Listen, you need to do something now about treating your PCOS, so it will affect the hair growth.

The hair growth can get worse if you don't start doing things to counter act it- such as diet & meds, bc pills, new creams or laser or electrolysis.... diet & meds is most important as if affects future growth.

Creams and treatments affect current stuff you are *stuck with*... don't encourage any more growth! This means treating your PCOS now.

This hair was grown a while ago, it takes a while for your body to change and growth to sprout.... but once it's here you cannot undo it- but you can try and prevent more from coming.

I have a severe facial and body hair issue. Besides waxing frequently, i got my testosterone levels checked.. they were that of an average man. ANyay doc put me on aldactone and ive already begun to thin and the hait is finer..Find out if its hormonal first before you seek the electrolosis or laser, you should get that under control first if it is a problem in order for the more permanent methods to be effective. Good Luck and check out the hair forum its helpful w/ the cream vs. bleach vs. waxing issues
